How do you prepare the site before construction?

Pre-construction includes full protection of the surrounding residence (zip-wall barriers, HEPA filtration, dedicated ingress), relocation of furniture and personal items, temporary utility management, and a written neighbor-notification, particularly important in gated Carmel Valley communities where adjacent-property courtesy is part of the HOA culture.

Is your company licensed and insured?

Yes. Shiro Builders Group, Inc. holds an active California State License Board general contractor's license (CSLB #[to confirm]) and carries full general liability and workers' compensation coverage. License verification is available through the CSLB public lookup; insurance certificates are provided to every client before contract signing.

What safety measures do you take on the job site?

Every Shiro job site operates under OSHA-compliant safety protocols: daily site walks by the Site Superintendent, dust and debris containment, protected walk paths, secured material storage, and documented incident reporting. On occupied remodels, this also includes child- and pet-safety barriers and scheduled quiet hours observed for the surrounding neighbors.
